Back on the road again!

Monday 5 October: Darwin to Leliyn (Edith Falls) in Nitmiluk National Park.

So happy to be back on the road again!

Left Darwin after a re-stock, re-pack heading South for Leliyn.

As we set up, Tim discovered our hitch hiker that had camped inside our gas bottle hutch! Poor thing was looking a little parched after the ride from Darwin!

The boys took delight in releasing her back to a huge pond, with many friends.

This waterhole is simply stunning. We spent two nights here camped 150m from the natural, warm pool. We walked the 2.8km loop walk up to the top pools & were not disappointed- wow! Unfortunately I didn't take any pics of the view from above the waterfall which would have revealed a natural infinity edge pool, waterfalls and several small pools to play in. An awesome day.

We had plenty of early rain in Leliyn- unusual for October. Great news for us as it cooled things down by 10 degrees.

The kids enjoyed some cane toad spotting each evening and met some great families.

Thank you Leliyn, you've been spectacular!
