Potaroos at Porcupine Gorge

Day 16 (2 -4 August) Winton to Porcupine Gorge National Park 280km

2 nights were spent peacefully in the National Park. The boys walked into the gorge with our new friends The Corokan family. I took a trip to Hughenden hospital for ammunition against a painful wisdom tooth.

We have discovered all shops close out here for a lunch break, so alot of patience is required when wanting to get anything done!

The gorge is spectacular with waterholes at the bottom of sheer cliffs. There is a walking trail 1.2 km to a amazing view of the canyon and the pyramid like rock formations are worth the walk. The water has some small fish and is deep enough to jump in from the top of the rock's.

A little potaroo joined us both evenings, terrifying Noah.
